Zumba & Zen Event
We had a great turnout for Zumba and Zen. Meg Bowman shared some important nutritional tips to help everyone to keep both their mental and physical health in balance, especially during this crazy time. Karen Covy led the group in a ½ hour of fun and exhilarating Zumba routines. The evening was a perfect blend of body and mind, and a great way to start the New Year.
If you're dealing with mental health symptoms, you'll want to focus on foods that include:
Protein (meats, eggs, dairy, beans, nuts, seeds, tofu, edamame)
Foods that are rich in color and fight inflammation (dark leafy greens, turmeric, any darkly colored fruit/vegetable, herbs/spices)
